Cin7 Hosts First Customer Event

We always want to know our customers better. The more we do, the better we can serve you.

That’s why we were thrilled to host our first-ever Customer Event on January 27 in Auckland. The meeting gave us the chance to speak face-to-face with nearly 50 Cin7 customers.

Customer events are part of a wider effort to engage with our growing customer community. As with the customer webinar series we launched in January, the customer events will become a regular event, designed to cover specific topics.

The event included a round of staff presentations previewing Cin7 developments, a Q&A with a Cin7 customer, and the opportunity for customers to sit at a computer with support staff to go over any issues or questions they had about using the solution.

A Few Highlights

Cin7 leaders gave a run-down of upcoming enhancements and ongoing enhancements to Cin7 products and support:

  • We’ve hired new employees for the customer support team to improve service quality.
  • We’ll soon relaunch our Help Site to make it easier to find the information you need.
  • We’ll soon roll out an App Store to make it easier for you to activate integrations.
  • We’ve rolled out our POS V3 invterface with an improved, customizable look and feel.

And a Customer Q&A

We also held a Q&A session featuring Tania Louk, buyer for Me & My Trend.

Louk discussed the furniture and homeware company’s progression over the past seven years. Me & My Trend grew from wholesale-only to a mix of B2B, online retail, and pop-up store channels, with hopes to open a flagship store soon.

Louk said the company selected Cin7 a few years ago for its built-in POS and its customer support.

“For us as a small business, and not necessarily very technical as a business, we needed to know that we had support on hand, knowing there was phone and online help was a very big reason for us,” she said.

Me & My Trend sees the benefit of splitting its online channels in the near future, with specialized eCommerce websites for wholesale and retail customers. The company intends to use Cin7’s B2B portal in that strategy.

“We have two different buying patterns so it would be great to service those segment separately,” she said. “The market has changed quite a bit and we have to make sure we’re adapting all the time.”
