Cin7 strives to improve the customer experience. As we continuously build up the Cin7 App Store with new eCommerce platforms, marketplaces, 3PLs, retailers, and many other connections, we continuously find ways to make Cin7 work better for you.
Here are some of the upgrades and features we’ve added in the last few weeks.
Shopify App Gets a Makeover and an Upgrade
Our Shopify App is not only better looking now. It also makes it easier to synchronize your Cin7 account with one of the most popular eCommerce platforms in the world. See our Shopify page.
- Product Download Wizard. Cin7 gives new customers with an existing Shopify channel a wizard to take you through the process of synchronizing the products you sell through Shopify with your Cin7 account. After you pull in your Shopify data, manage your Shopify inventory from Cin7 with the same centralized, real-time view and control you have over all your inventory.
- New Dashboards. We’ve added more dashboards for deeper insight of your Shopify channel activities.
- Items Per Order. The Shopify integration calculates the number of items per order and automatically fills the branch name at the time of downloading.
And did we mention it looks nicer? Expect similar makeover to many other apps in the near future.
Prepare Production Jobs With Ease
Setting up your production jobs just got easier and much more flexible. You can now import Bills of Material (BOM) from spreadsheets to Cin7 with more formatting choices. A new “Make/Use” column lets you distinguish between Make/Use and Use/Make.
For more information see Importing BOMs.
POS Gets An Update
We’ve added a new setting to our POS module that requires a customer name when you or any other POS user on your team processes a return. Simply switch “Require customer to be selected for refund” to “Yes” in your POS settings.
Other Updates and Fixes
- Added a time filter to the Close Register screen to exclude or include orders based on time.
- Added a field to the Update Log on the Review Screen indicating which of your new integrations downloaded orders originated. The field now indicates the date/time of the download, as opposed to the date/time it was created in the external integration.
- Fixed an issue that prevented receipt logos from printing.
- Fixed an issue that stopped IP Printing from working.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Capsule module to timeout in certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue causing an error to appear when creating a back order for some users.
- Made a few changes to stop odd values such as ‘null’ appearing in the reports.
- Fixed a bug that caused price columns to be ignored in Credit Notes and Supplier Credit Notes.
- Fixed a bug where orders would not auto dispatch for Shopify if “Completed Orders Only” was selected.
- Fixed an issue that was causing some contacts not to be subscribed to MailChimp.
- Resolved a problem with our ShipStation integration where the delivery country code was inconsistent with those of eCommerce integrations.
